Rubber hits a record high on demand

  • Rubber price in India’s spot market rose by Rs 50 to a record Rs 18,450 per 100 kg on Tuesday on a good demand from tyre makers and firmness in Tokyo market, dealers said. Tokyo rubber futures rose to a five-week high on Tuesday, supported by a rise in equities and oil prices on some signs of improving sentiment for the economy.
