Spot rubber ends almost unchanged

On Saturday (23 October 2010), the spot rubber prices ended almost unchanged as the weekend session was comparatively inactive and a slight recovery in domestic futures failed to make any visible impact in the market. Sheet rubber ended flat at Rs. 188.50 per kg both at Kottayam and Kochi markets.

The November futures for RSS 4 increased to Rs. 190.03 (188.88), December to Rs. 191.96 (190.60), January to Rs. 194.32 (193.00) and February to Rs. 197.13 (196.03) per kg on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.

Spot rates were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 189.50 (189.50); RSS-5: 179.50 (180); ungraded: 174 (174); ISNR 20: 185.50 (185.50) and latex 60 per cent: 121 (121).
