China鈥檚 natural rubber imports hit 190,000 tons in Mar

Apr. 13, 2010 (China Knowledge) - China, the world's largest natural rubber importer, imported 190,000 tons of the material in March this year, about the same amount it imported in the same month of last year, according to statistics recently released by the General Administration of Customs.

The March imports reflected a 46.15% surge from February.

Last month, the country imported 429,373 tons of synthetic rubber, 81.9% more year on year.

In 2009, the country's natural rubber imports were 1.71 million tons, up 1.7% from the previous year.
